Board information

The company’s governing body is the Strategic Board.  There are twelve members of the board: 

• Four of these are councillors nominated by Northumberland County Council

• Four are tenants or leaseholders living in homes managed by the Company

• Four are independent members

The twelve members of the Strategic Board are listed as Directors under the definitions of the Companies Act.

In addition to the Strategic Board, the company also has two Area Boards, covering the two principal areas of operation. We have the Alnwick Area Board and Blyth Valley Area Board.  There are twelve members of each area board:

• Four are councillors nominated by Northumberland County Council, and two of these five councillors from each area are also nominated to the Strategic Board

• Four are tenants or leaseholders living in homes managed by the company in each respective area;  these five members are chosen directly by the tenants and leaseholders in each area and choose two of their number to be members of the Strategic Board

• Four are independent members

There is also an Audit and Risk committee, which reports into the Strategic Board.
