Kevin LowryInterim Managing Director With 34 years experience in social housing, Kevin is responsible for the overall operation of Homes for Northumberland. He is accountable to the Board, which has tenant representation, and has a lead role in working with Northumberland County Council, which owns HFN. Kevin is committed to ensuring the company delivers the highest possible customer service and works closely with tenants, staff, the board and Northumberland County Council to set the strategic direction of the organisation. He started his career as a junior clerk with Birmingham City Council and he has worked in every form of landlord provision since, including council, housing association, stock transfer, housing trust and ALMO. Kevin is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and holds a qualification in Governance, issued by the Board Development Agency and validated by the Institute of leadership and management. In addition to this, he is a specialist external examiner for a University in the Midlands with oversight of the foundation, degree and post graduate courses in Housing. |

Ian JohnsonInterim Director of Property Services Ian is responsible for overseeing all of Homes for Northumberland's responsive repairs, planned maintenance and major capital works to over 8,500 properties. No two days are ever the same in Ian's extensive role and he works closely with his team of managers to look at new ways of enhancing the service, improve performance and achieve better value for money. Ian has 15 years experience in the housing sector and started his career as a Housing Assistant at City of Sunderland Council before quickly progressing to a Housing Officer post. He secured his first managerial position with Blyth Valley Housing's Tenant Enforcement Team in 2003, before working his way up the ranks to Director level at Homes for Northumberland. Ian has a varied and remarkable career in the housing sector that brings a plethora of experience to his role. In addition to this, he holds a BA degree in Housing. |

Iain HendersonDirector of Finance and Resources Iain oversees all support services at Homes for Northumberland, ranging from finance and communications to the customer services centre and performance. His eclectic role also includes Company Secretary, which involves supporting the Board in fulfilling their duties. After graduating from Oxford in 1985, Iain trained as a Chartered Accountant in London. He is also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA). Iain has worked in the social housing sector for 20 years, first as an Audit Manager for a firm of accountants, and then as a Director of Finance and Central Services for a housing association based on Teesside. He firmly believes that the financial disciplines, particularly in the fields of customer services and value for money, that are often associated with the private sector are even more important in the housing sector, because many of our customers are among the most vulnerable in society. |

Tim HarrisInterim Director of Neighbourhood ServicesTim is an experienced housing professional with 39 years experience in the industry with 30 years at Director level. As Chief Executive of Berneslai Homes in 2003 he successfully gained a two star rating and released decent homes funding of 165M pounds. Since leaving Berneslai Homes in 2006, he has led both Homes in Havering and South Tyneside Homes through successful two star inspections. He also worked improving services and gaining two stars as Director of Housing at Nottingham City Homes and led Charnwood Neighbourhood Housing as interim CEO from no stars to one star before the demise of the audit commission. In addition, Tim led Ascham Homes as interim CEO as the organisation lost one of its two stars and parted company with the permanent CEO. Tim has served on the Board of the Northern Housing Consortium and is currently in his 4th year as a Director on the board of Aspire Housing a Midlands based LSVT. |
