What is Northumberland Homefinder?

Northumberland Homefinder is the council’s housing allocations service.  The service is a partnership between the council and Housing Providers who work in the Northumberland area.  Click here to access the Northumberland Homefinder Website.

Northumberland’s Common Allocation Policy

The council and its partners have agreed a common allocation policy which means that the way houses are allocated will be the same throughout Northumberland.  You can view the Northumberland Common Allocation Policy.

How to apply for a home

You can download a Northumberland Homefinder application form or call into your local office.

Mutual Exchange Scheme

A mutual exchange is where two tenants, with the permission of their landlord, exchange their properties. This includes local authority tenants, tenants of Housing Associations or Registered Social Landlords, and in some cases private tenants. This document will provide you with more information.
