Everyone has the right to live the way they want as long as it doesn’t spoil the quality of life of others. This means being tolerant, accepting and respecting the needs and choices of other people.

By working together we can make our communities safer for everyone.

Safer Neighbourhoods Unit

The Safer Neighbourhoods Unit works closely with Northumberland’s County Council’s Community Safety Team, Northumbria Police and other agencies to tackle the problems caused by anti-social behaviour.

We tackle a wide range of behaviours from low level anti-social behaviour to serious anti-social and criminal behaviour. For more information on what we do and to meet the officer responsible for your area click here.
