Fencing with the Duke of Northumberland
Residents in the Cedar Grove estate have complimented Homes for Northumberland in-house team for their work after they were awarded large scale fencing work on the Cedar Grove estate.

Six operatives from Cowley Road Depot started the work to replace a one-metre high fence for a one double the size (two-metre high) close board fence on 1st February and expect that work should last approximately four to five months.
The style of fencing that is currently being erected was chosen by the residents after much consultation and will give greater security and privacy. Tenant comments and feedback regarding the progress of the work carried out, to date is very positive and they are delighted with the new fences being erected.
All the fencing rails, posts, boards etc are grown locally from sustainable forests owned by the Duke of Northumberland, and fully processed in sawmills which employ local staff, all employed on the Dukes estate, thereby keeping money in the county by using local labour and materials.
This is the first joint initiative to be carried out on a large scale since the company was formed in April 2009.
